Nicole Bohny - Nicole Bohny

My love for English began at the young age of two, when I began to learn how to read. By the age of four I was reading articles in the Reader’s Digest regularly. When I started school, reading and writing quickly became my strongest subjects, and that followed me throughout my school career. In high school I took great pride in my writing and with some guidance from one of my English teachers, I began to hone my writing skills so that the quality of my work would become even better. One of the final writing assignments I completed in my school career was a research paper comparing the dystopian worlds of 1984 by George Orwell and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. Besides receiving an almost perfect score, my English teacher thought it was so well done that he asked me if he could use it as an example for the classes he taught after mine. That remains one of my proudest writing achievements.

I am still constantly looking for ways in which I can improve my writing. I write on a daily basis as a way to keep my skills sharp and as a creative outlet. In the spring of 2008, I wrote two reviews for an up-and-coming website that reviewed video games; though nothing more ever became of it, reviewing games has become one of my favorite types of writing.

Writing is something that I always have, and always will get tremendous pleasure from. I am willing to write about anything, because in the end, I am doing what I love. If you have any suggestions pertaining to something you would like to see me write about, please feel free to contact me.
